General Diplomas

The General Diploma is open to everyone, regardless of their level of photographic skills. While many members will be very well versed in camera techniques, others may want to learn how to use their camera more effectively, or gain a better understanding of key areas such as depth of field, exposure and composition. It doesn't matter where you start your journey!

The goal is to produce a set of 10 images to illustrate your ability to use your camera and express yourself visually. All the pictures must have been taken since the date you registered for the diploma.

The work should include a variety subject of matter demonstrating appropriate skills and techniques. However, if you prefer, photos on a single theme or topic are acceptable but they must also show a range of photographic skills, techniques and include brief explanatory text or short ‘statement’.
